Off course Bjork was magnificent at Werchter and I do not seem to get enough
of her . I´m anxious for her next performance in Belgium or some other country
nearby. Enough seems to be not enough : more is desired !!!!!! Marc /cram - 815 |
Mel /Mely - 661 |
| Maybe
it's a bit late to write about the Björk-show on Werchter but it's a proof
that you can't forget a show like the one she gave ! Amazing ! I'm still
recovering of the emotional boom i got there ... It made me cry when i saw
her ... she's so breathtaking ! Oh my Björk, Dankjewel ... /fienmasjien - 641 |

this was the 2nd time i seen bjork, the last time was in california and she
was pregnant. this time around she was a lot more playful and in a better
state to actual dance! she was amazing and throughout the show i stood there
with a permanent smile on my face. hearing her live makes my ears just want
more and more. and i just have to say that i am so so so so happy she did
pluto....it is my favorite thing ever live. every cell in my body exploded
with joy and excitment during this number. i can't wait to see her again!!!! bzzz...bzzz.....bee /bee - 587 |
| L'ayant
/stapfi - 579 |
| by the way: -radiohead was very good too but after Bjork I actually wanted to lay down for an hour to recover... i was "oversensed" -it was a petty that Bjork and Tom Yorke didnt do their "dancer in the dark"-duet. /angelo - 567 |
| hello! i enjoyed the concert very very much. it was the 3rd time that a saw a Bjork-gig in Belgium and it's always a big surprise what is going to happen. this thursday it were the amazing fireworks / visuals and the uncredible setlist. aulthough the setlist was for a lot of the audience a bit to difficult i really really enjoyed it. the reaction of the audience was not 'extreme' enough for me: i danced the whole concert (even vespertine is a real dance-album for me!) but everybody was standing still: human behaviour... thank you for your music .. it's the soundtrack of my life .. Angelo /angelo - 566 |
| dankjeweldankjeweldankjeweldankjewel Bjork for: -singing and looking so beautiful it almost made me cry -all those wonderful songs you did, especially the 3 new songs Nameless (beautiful!) Where is the line (wow!) and Desired Constillation (yeah we got all three of them!) -showing us your smile and looking at us :) -doing Pluto: the one song I always wanted to see live! When we were waiting at the gate we heard the soundcheck of this song and we were like o my goooooooood -doing that nice dance at the beats of Hunter ;) -doing songs like Cocoon and Generous Palmstroke at a festival, it creates such a special atmosphere and finally mercimercimerci to Bjork for just making heavenly music :) The fireworks were great, the visuals were beautiful (especially the Unravel visuals!), standing only about 3 meters away from her was definitely worth the waiting, many of my favourite songs in the setlist, Zeena, Matmos, the violin players, Bjork was definitely definitely having a great time herself: just EVERYTHING was perfect! Thanx to my cousin Marty for showing me the world of Bjork a long time ago ;) "Isn't it nice when it's getting darker.." :) /hypergirl82 - 564 |

didn't anyone notice the "don't you love it when it's getting darrrkerrrr?"

| Thanks so much for this amazing concert, I'll never forget it. Her voice blew me away! /miss amber - 560 |
| Fantabulous,
spectacular show! the 3 new songs are really really good and the visuals
during Unravel were very beautiful. Bjork's taste for music, videos and
clothes is so unique and she's the best singer I know. Her voice blew me
away most of the time. I hope she'll keep making music for years. Thanks
so much for this show! /miss amber - 543 |
| Hi, I was a bit impatient and already posted this in the 4-um on friday, but I'll also copy it here :) Me and my sister Linda got there a lot later than hoped, but we were still in time to get into the first section of the field. Not front row, but we got see the stage pretty well. Because Björk was the first to perform at the festival, the whole crowd was very excited, there were a lot of Radiohead fans already waiting for them (they were on next). We could already see everything set up, Zeena was talking to some technican about her harp, and Leila was testing her equipment. Weird sounds were sounding from the speakers, making everybody curious. Björk started right on time (even 1 minute early) with "Hunter". She was wearing a white suit and the green feathers around her ears that she wore earlier in the tour. She was looking pretty serious in the first few songs, but she started to get more and more enthusiastic during the set. The crowd was singing along with the better known songs, and during Pagan Poetry, everybody was singing along to the "I love him" part. I was really happy to hear "Joga", and "Generous Palmstroke" in which she sang something wrong (but no harm done). "Cocoon" was very pretty, very daring I thought for a festival. Björk took the earfeathers off during the 5 or 6th song. "Heirloom" was very nice to hear live. "Desired Constilation" was not what I had expected (I didn't download the new songs) but was very nice. The visual for "Unravel" was stunning, I almost forgot to watch Björk on stage. During song 9, an new icelandic song (Nameless??), the crowd cheered when she sang the highpitched ooooh's flawlessly. "An Echo A Stain" was also a bit daring for a festival, but sounded good. "Where is the line" really got the crowd going, people started to dance, and Leila was incredibly busy working on her equimpent and smiled more with every beat. "Hyperballad" was a real succes (always a favourite with the fans) and "It's In Our Hands" really works in the remix. The half of Matmos who made the remix was headbanging behind his equipment :) "bachelorette" was also a succes, it seemed that a big part of the crowd (well at least the ones I could see and hear) really loved hearing it. "Pluto" was the real big crowd pleaser, with Björk running around during the songs and getting people to dance and swing their arms. The visual got some laughs. I was wearing ear plugs so I didn't realise there were big fireworks (I just saw them on the belgian news), I only noticed the small ones on the stage. It was really good to hear such a techno song, it worked really well. After a really short break, She came back with a white attachment to her suit, a fold-out thing, that opened like the feathers of a peacock (I have no idea how to descibe it, but I think I've seen it before on some pictures in the gigography). When the beat of "Human Behaviour" sounded, the party was complete. Björk was clearly enjoying herself, when she started singing 'there is definitely no logic' she kept singing 'definitely' over and over, throwing some giggles inbetween. She stopped right on time (maybe one or 2 minutes late) and inbetween songs she kept saying 'dankjewel', 'merci', and even 'takk' with something in icelandic (thank you very much?). One time she made a little mantra, saying 'dankdankdankdankdankjewel' a few times, and 'mercimercimerci'. Nice to know that some artists realize that Belgium is bilangual, although I didn't expect less of Björk. We were standing a bit too close to the speakers, so the bass was really loud, but you could always hear her voice (I think that they turned her up during the first song). The sound further from the stage must have been pretty good, because when we were watching Radiohead and Underworld from a bit farther away, the sound was fantastic. We had a great time, it was really worth it. I was sorry she didn't do "5 years" and "Nature is Ancient" but she only had 1hour and 15 minutes, and she used every minute of it. Overall it was a nice set and I'm happy she did all the new songs and "Joga". Hope you enjoyed this review, Love, Meta /eisbaer - 542 |

this just brings me down to read all the "it was just wonderfull!"-writings

| Bonjour, ... On a eu droit à 3 nouvelles chansons !!!!!
| @ webmasters (or anyone): is it possible to show the designer's name of björk's tremendous clothes she's wearing on all of performances? (eg comme des garçons, viktor&rolf etc.) Also, does anyone know who the "exploding" naked man on the big screen is during pluto? Apparently it is not Matthew Barney. I know this is not a review, sorry, but i did not find your direct email....Thanx for any help!! björk i can't stop thinking of you you are my inspiration. un abbraccio di cuore. yours possibly maybe, marco /thehunter77 - 538 |
| Hey
everybody...omg what a great show. Now even after 2 days, i still get ghoosebumps
when i think of her show on werchter! I'm totally in love with her! What
a woman! So full of energie, *especially her funny dances*, great voice *even
live*...beautifull songs, each and everyone of them.... It was a birthdaygift of my boyfriend...and it was (is) the best gift ever! I really hope i can see her another time "live" . With Love Fem! /Femke1984 - 536 |
| it
took us nearly 6 hours from our home (wich is about a 1,5 hour driver from
Werchter, on a normal day) to get onto the field at Werchter, we missed most
of the show, waiting to get in, standing in line. we finally got in at 22:45
and saw the last two and a half song... boohooo :o(..... I felt like crying
that I missed the first hour. I loved what I saw, but hate Werchter now for
the unprofessional way everything was arranged. it was a complete disaster.
still, Bjork was great as usual (what I saw of it and heard while standing
in line.. grrrrrr), loved the fireworks and the smile on her face. I never
get enough of her shows! /pbutz - 535 |

| What more can i say?? Heel erg dankjewel for the wonderful preformance Björk!!!! I was (and i'm still) so impressed of her yesterday. The way she sings, the way she danced and the way she looked at the audience.........It almost makes me cried. What a show and what a lovely charisma. i don't know exactly how much crowd thare was yesterday but i think almost 60000 and when she started to play everyone was be amazed at her show, i'm sure of that. She really hits my heart. I wonder if she knows what she and her music means for lot people but one thing i already knows: Björk, You are amazing!! dankjedankjedankjewel /bierbrouwer - 530 |
| my first life concert from Björk oooh breathtaking did you look at her pretty hands? :) (so cute) but verry strange is that you see björk at +- 40 meters far, but she's so unreachable for me... I mean, I would like if I can have a good conversation with her. I think she's verry smart and of corse very special and AMAZING If I hear her music, I have such a big feeling inside, (I felt nothing like that before) mmm great night I hope not the last one ooh, please come back :-) dankjewel Björk, for the amazing night /eliasheuninck - 529 |
| as it was my first time to see björk live, i did not really know what to expect. * i cried a bit during generous palmstroke, hearing that song in a live version makes me so emotional * i could not move during unravel, the sound, the video, everything was absorbing me and despite the gigantic crowd, me and my friend where holding hands and cuddling, it felt like we where alone for moments during cocoon and the more quiet songs * the suit was absolutely not what i had in mind, i thought she would wear something more fairytalish. my word for the suit: galaxy. ah that could fit in the new project thing. * i so so so badly want the bootleg of it, if there is one. speaking of this concert as a milestone in my life is maybe a bit exaggerated, but i am sure i have never experienced such an intimate moment in a crowd, and i will not so soon go through something like that again. /timestoodstill - 528 |
Le show était vraiment époustouflant. Je me souviendrait longtemps de mon
premier concert de Björk. /siesse - 527 |

| Hello! Björk at Werchter was so so so fABULOUS Björk était magnifique dans son ensemble blanc brillant venu de l'espace! "where is the line" m'a laissé sans voix! Valky. /valky - 525 |

has been great, but i'm really curious about this definitelx8 - thing...!
a relaxing weekend to all of you. marco /thehunter77 - 523 |
| Thank you Bjork, for the great performance! I really loved it, nice videoanimatios, lights and everything. Too bad it wasn't dark enought yet for all those beautifull fireworks, cos it was a really nice opening for Werchter! One minus; I thought the sound could have been better sometimes, her mic could have been a bit louder, sometimes her voice faded away (soft) cos the mic didn't picked the loud/high "belting" parts when she took a little distance of it. But that's not her fault.... so sound engeneer.... I was very pleased that Bjork played "Unravel", I really love that song, I can get really emotional about it so beautifull, out of the heart. Unfortunately she doesn't play it that often on live shows. (possibly because of the chorus where the voices mixup???). Anyway, I had a very god spot in the audience, I stood there already from about 19.00 hrs but it was worth it! Me and my boyfriend (who saw her performing live for the first time and was stunned!) came all the way from Amsterdam , the Netherlands to she her. I got home at 5.15 in the morning: we where exhousted, but I 'm so happy I went! I think Bjork is DEFINITELY DEFINITELY DEFINITELY the best live-artist in the world! Bjork, you're the best, please visit our country (the Netherlands) some time again too, cos we LUUUUUVVVV you! XXX Maedy /mt5 - 522 |

| It's
a pity the planes that flew over all the time didn't crash behind the stage
during Pluto. That would have been spectacular. I've already said my word, I just wanted to add that every single song she did, was a perfect version. Impossible to pick a favourite or a 'best performed'; every song was unique, in some there was even improvising, but all of them were to be remembered as 'ideal' or something. Whatever I mean by that. I was really impressed, actually. /MirrorMirror - 512 |

| I just come from Werchter (or the train station where i slept...) What a nice concert! I was on the front, next to the central part for vip people and security system. Björk was in a very good mood, she danced all around the stage, smiling to the audience, improvising a little "dankjedankje...mercimercimerci" song. She was very well-dressed, it perfectly fit with a festival concert. The first part of the concert was very calm. But An Echo A Stain rocked the audience. And we had Where Is The Line!!!!! But it was playback!!!!! I'm sure of it, i could see her lips, the place of the microphone... But what a fantastic song! She was dancing on stage like in a disco, very amazing! People got crazy with Pluto, it was terrific. But the fireworks weren't very good. I couldn't see the fireworks exploding above the stage (i was too close to it), and the flames makers weren't very impressive... There was no synchronisation with the music... not so good. Just before Radiohead's concert, she appeared with Matmos in the audience!!! She snicked through the central part (there was only security agents) and went far from the stage. I didn't see her after she passed 1 meter from me... /mihfolya - 510 |
Disons simplement que j'ai particulièrement craqué pour Its in our Hands, Cocoon et Unravel.
said: "dankje, dankje, dankjewel, dankje, dankje, dankjewel...", but I have
to say "DANKJE Björk!!!" because it was an incredible performance. I'm sure
she enjoyed it as much as I did, especially the 'definitely...definitely...definitely...def-definitely...'-part
in Human Behaviour :) NO LOGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /profiler - 508 |
| A
first class concert. The sound was superb; Björk's voice was really loud.
Secondly, she was in top form. She really reached incredible high notes,
even from the first songs (Hunter & Pagan Poetry) onwards. I've seen her in Paris (17th) as well, and this show was even a thousand times better. Björk was just in a great mood, and she sounded as if she had eaten honey for weeks. She didn't hide away as in Bercy, but came near the public, made faces towards them and reflected how fun it was to be the festival's starter. The setlist was really nice; the first 7, 8 songs were calm ones. Only after 40, 45 minutes the dancebeats started with It's In Our Hands, Where's The Line, Hyperballad and Pluto (the sun set, spectacular fireworks filled the air and planes flew over, bedazzled). People who came to see Radiohead were really amazed: "Woow they'll really need to play their asses off to attain this kind of power," it sounded. (Radiohead would indeed prove to be a lot more conventional and less inspired than Björk). During the encore (Human Behaviour), Björk wore her huge spiderweb-wings with little christmas lights in it. And behind her, the bushes flamed (I thought those were typical for Isobel, but she didn't play that). This was one of the most astonishing and inspiring performances in my life. I'm so happy the sound system was so perfect, and that Björk herself was in the best of all shapes. May many years of creativity come to you, miss. Thank you. /MirrorMirror - 507 |
| Hi, I literally *just* returned from Werchter ... it was FAN-TAS-TIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to my best friend's well-washed greaseless back I penned down the setlist, here goes (people always stare at me at certain points, very bizarre :))): 1. Hunter - she started at the foreseen time, perfect! wearing a beautiful silvery short dress with pants of the same fabric underneath them + the green ear-things ... cristalclear voice, I've never heard her sing that beautifully ... and noooo I wasn't emotionally prejudiced, it's just a fact ... petty it wasn't already dark ... AND: fireworks !!!!!!!!! - 2. Pagan Poetry - mmmh, I couldn't hear the violins that well during the song, but heeey I'm not complaining one single second - 3. Jóga - the "frontrow" fireworks started flaming + beaaaats - 4. Generous Palmstroke - of course with a huge applause in between the two parts; I didn't!!! Nonononononoooo ... she did get mixed up at the beginning of the song with the lyrics, Zeena had to improvise for one second - 5. Cocoon - Nice surprise ... reminded me of the Coachella-atmosphere ... Cocoon at a festival, it's a bizarre combination ... again: a crystalclear voice 6. Heirloom - fabulous! Bjork did get mixed up again with the lyrics ... "we feel a ...mmmh .... dark ... glowing liiiiiiight", you know ;) - 7. Desired Constellation - and a plane flew over ... "how am I going to make it right" ... yeah yeah LOL - 8. Unravel - wooohooooooooo, nice video by the way, real yarn! - 9. Nameless - this was the point where people started getting all excited; quote: "AAAAAwhoooooooooooo" + beats performed miracles!!!!! .... better live than I had already heard on some MP3's; elektro-extravaganza - 10. An Echo, A Stain - what do I need to say, this one was phenomenal ... "I'm sorry he saw that" and the heavy beats fell in ... divine - 11. Where Is The Line - I mean: WOW! ... it was just too good to get played a few times at a concert; never to be recorded ... so we definitely neeed that song - 12. Hyperballad - shouting + dancing all around us, it always works this song: Björk doing her typical "I'm flying over the stage-thing" - 13. Our Hands - nice, vivid, fast, elektro ... - 14. Bachelorette - Fitted well in the bombastic atmosphere - 15. Pluto - ............. I got totally mad, I freaked out, fireworks all over, the frontrow flames doing their best ... it was TREMENDOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 16. (encore) Human Behaviour - this was by far the funniest part of the show, Björk showing up again with this huge silver web-thing on her back, forgetting a big part of the lines when she started singing "there's definitely, definitely, definitely ... def-def-definitely, definitely, definitely, def-def-definitely, definitely ... x8 ... no loooogiiiiiiiiiiiiic" ... hehe, hilarious, she started laughing herself! Something that showed: she was very happy all the time, really enjoying herself. So that was it .... great show, a lovely talkative Björk (dankjewel!!!, she said a couple of times, even making a little rap out of it: dankjedankjedankjedankjeweeeel, mercimercimercimerci bieeeen ... think someone told her people in Belgium speak Dutch and French ;), she also said takk fyrir ... or how do you spell that ... and she danced heaps, fooled around, didn't care ... having a great day I guess. If I got the chance to pay a lot of money only to see her do exactly the same show again *now*: I would ... a well-recorded bootleg of it MUST be great to listen to ... Great night, it really was! I always forget how big a fan I actually am ... too big for reason to grasp :) XXX Roel /roelipilami - 506 |
